many years ago when i went to school all male teachers wore tweed.why???????????????????????????????...

Tweed was considered smart and posh, kind of like todays suit. tweed isn&#039;t very common now as most male teacher (or other smart proffesioned men) wear suits which are black, grey and sometimes brown or navy. suits can be pin striped or just a plain color. it usually consists of a shirt, white or colored, with a tie, suit jack, matching trousers, belt, and black shoes, polised, if there are no buttons on the suit jack one will wear cufflinks. cufflinks are an alternitive to button. prices range from say £2 to £50/£100. The expensive ones ar made of gold, white gold, silver, or platnum. cheaper ones are made of metal. men tend to wear a watch with a suit.
