While suffering through continual tweeter problems with my car, I've been thinking about a slight relocation of the speakers. I'm running Dynaudio's System 240MKII in my 2002 VW GTi, with the mids in the doors and the tweets in the sail panel (low a-pillar) locations at the moment. Would there be any benefit in leaving the mids where they are and moving *just* the tweets into kickpanels? I've got an Eclipse CD8443 at the head of the system, and I'm finding that in order to keep the tweets from being way to bright, I'm having to utilize the EQ to "flatten" the upper end response, which gets rid of the brightness but also drains a bit of upper range clarity and detail from my system. I'm wondering if moving the tweets to a lower location may somehow help rectify the situation.
