Twelve hounds are all set for the semifinals to put the track on fire in the 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby Final
One of the most awaited events of greyhound racing, the 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby, is next major greyhound racing event in the 2011 calendar.
After the successful Heats, the semifinal is scheduled on the 10th of September, 2011, at the Yarmouth racing course.
Races covering 462 meters distance will be held among the qualifiers of the 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby's Heats, entailing a total prize money of £1,300.
The lucky winner will get to take a purse of £150 home for his trainer.
Along with the purse, te winner will be honoured by qualifying for the finals of the 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby.
Two semifinal races will be held on Saturday night. The first one has lined up between six, who proclaimed themselves as the purse winner of the 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby, which was organized at the Yarmouth Stadium on the 7th
of the September 2011.
The 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby's Heat 1 winner, Diesel Malc, trained by Micheal Fawsitt, will be chasing the lure from trap 1.
Along with three other dogs, including Heat 2 winner, Romeo Reason, will race for trainer Elizabeth McNair through trap 2.
His neighbour will be Chris Allsopp’s Brittons Empire, who finished second in the 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby's Heat 4.
Trap 4 will be opened for Holycross Prince, who finished second in the 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby's Heat 2, for trainer J G Mullins.
Trap 5 and trap 6 are reserved for the purse winners, C R Lister’s Yahoo Jamie in Heat 3, and Fifis Rocket, trained by Chris Allsopp, in Heat 4, of the 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby.
The second semi-final race will be contended by six hounds, the runner-ups of the 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby's Heats.
Trap 2 has been reserved for Taylor Cruise, who finished third for C R Lister in Heat 3, whereas trap 3 will be opened for Ballymac Ace who finished third in Heat 4, under the training of C Allsopp.
Richard Brain’s Verdun Ritchie will run from trap 4, who has previously stood third in the Heat 2, while trap 5 is reserved for Rookery Pedro, who managed to finish second in the 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby Heat 1.
The first three qualifiers of each semi-final round will be placed in the 65th East Anglian Greyhound Derby Final, scheduled on the 15th of September, 2011, holding a prize money of £17,800
