Twenty years ago Palin's husband is DUI and Barry does coke. Which gets more media attention and why?

I've done coke and have a DWI enhanced by being over double the legal limit and this was all just within the last three years and I never get any media attention. I'm jealous!

Both have gotten attention.  You're a Neocon so you don't remember anything that doesn't fit your paradigm.  Note, Obama's 25 year old drug use isn't NEWS anymore.  Palin is.

But for the fact that McCain rashly plucked Palin from obscurity, you wouldn't have such a level of scrutiny.

Obama, unlike Bush has admitted his past drug usage and moved on. There are very few people who went to high school or college in the late 60's or 70's who didn't use dope at some point. Why would anyone be surprised? Furthermore, if Palin's husband had a DUI in his youth how would that make him stand out in any way? If he had two or three, that would be a story. It's a non issue for both and I don't believe that the media has made a big deal about either.
