Twilight Book 1 - Questions about Confusing parts, can anyone help?

Question

1. How long have the Cullens lived in Forks?

Jessica initially tells Bella the family moved 2 years ago, but when Jacob is telling the "scary stories" he talks about their families ( I think Jacob's great grandfather made the treaty with Carlisle) knowing each other a long time ago, and the treaty's been in place for a long time....Did I miss something?

2 On page 383, after the baseball game and meeting James, Edward Bella, Alice, and Emmet are in the jeep discussing how to keep Bella Safe & Alice says "There's another option" ...what's the option?

1) The Cullens lived in Forks about 70 years ago and they weren't there for long enough for people to really notice them that much they had to leave because they don't age the came back 2 years ago because they liked Forks so much

2) Alice is referring to Edward changing Bella into one if them.

1.) uhm, the cullens have lived in forks for two years but they've also been in the town  before... during ephraim black's(grandfather of jacob) time.. it then they made a treaty between the werewolves and the vamire..

1) The Cullen could've hidden their children for a while from the public as they didn't really have alot of purpose to show their faces.

2) Alice probably suggested Edward to turn Bella into one like them or let James have her. Most likely they wanted her to become one.

The Cullens lived in forks a while back when Jacob's grandfather was there as they promised never to harm a human. they then had to leave as people would have noticed that they were not growing older. however because they like forks so much e.g. with the weather and everything they decided to come back - the two years was probably just when the cullen kids joined school.#

I don't know the other option - maybe that they fight???
