Twilight Movie! Ugh! ?

Question

Okay, I'm sort of tired seeing everyone say, "The movie is going to ruin the book!" or "Omg, that didn't even happen in the book!" Seriously, the movie is BASED on the book, it's not going to look exactly like it.

Plus, I feel like waiting to watch the movie on DVD or something. Cause there's a 95% chance that girls are going to be screaming and clapping in each part of the movie, and if they do I'm going to be annoyed as h**l..lol. Opinions please? Thanks (=

I'm not that sure that I want to see this movie yet because I do love the books, but I'm not fond of the actors chosen, so I don't think that I'll enjoy it much as a movie (based on the trailers I've seen). I don't think a movie can ruin a book, the book will always be that book as good or as bad as it alone is; all a movie can do is ruin the ideas we have in our heads as to what certain details of the book would look like.

seriously, there is NO way to make a 500 page book into a 100 page screenplay thing. i'm sure the movie will be pretty good from the trailers and the ballet scene.

I personally can't wait for the movie, im going for my birthday party and havin a twuight party after and we r all gona dress up and go to the first screening and stuff. I dont agree with all the casting but its not THAT bad! I think everyone needs to stop worrying!

Stephanie Meyer played a big role in the direction of the movie, she was on the set almost every day giving her opinions on how things played out when she wrote them. I really think the movie won't be too far off from the book, and if it is then there won't be anymore movies (look at Eragon) even though New Moon is supposed to be coming out in 2010. Honestly, I can't wait to see how close they are. A movie based, however loosely, on a great book like Twilight can't be bad. ;) If you're worried about the dumb girls, just go after the movie has been out for a while, the theater will probably be almost deserted and there will be very few girls to act like idiots.
