Twilight Question/ Stephenie Meyer's view on Edward Cullen?

Ok. So I think Edward is a controlling, obsessive, stalker to Bella (not that either exists). I have read a lot of reviews, and some agree with me and they also say that Stephenie Meyer has mentioned that Edward is not as perfect as he seems and since she loves Edward and it's in her point of view, we are supposed to love him too. But they also say that Stephenie has mentioned there being something about Edwards actual sanity that the book doesn't let on and she has had multiple interviews about this very subject.

I was wondering if you could tell me what she has said about him with the fact that he IS controlling and IS a stalker (there is no need to deny it, fangirls, the evidence is all throughout the book). And where does it say that Stephenie Meyer doesn't even like Edwards' character and prefers Jacob?

i like both of them the same. i liked the ending to breaking dawn though. i wish there had been fighting though.

I think, according to the blurb, that Edward is supposed to be the dangerous guy who seems perfect but is actually not.

I think everyone has flaws, but edward is as perfect as you can get! Stephanie loves him and so do i!

Oh boy I prefer Jacob,too

I mean his boyish charm gets me.His flaws are natural.Edward is weird.He has only one thing on his mind "Bella and her blood" that's all.

That is the reason why Edward has Bella's loyalty and Jake her heart..

jacob is my favorite character but i always knew that bella belongs with edward and jacob belongs with someone else.

i used to hate edward but in breaking dawn he's better.

i love jacob though
