Twilight and Harry Potter movies???

Why exactly did they change the dates of both of those??

Well Harry potter moved to summer and they SAY that it's not because of Twilight but it's pretty obvious they don't want any competition to ruin their box office ratings and stuff...so Twilight moved back and took Harry Potter's spot....

It has nothing to do with "Twilight." HP was set to open a full three weeks before "Twilight." That's an eternity in movie time these days- more than enough, in fact, for HP to make a fortune in ticket sales. (Both films will be successful, but HP will make more money than "Twilight" no matter when it's released.)

The person who attributed it to the Writer's Strike is 100% correct.

I have heard several reasons. One of the reasons is that they believe that summer movies do better in the box offices. So they moved. Some think that because Twilight was coming out in December then it would kill it's box office sales. Some think that it was because of a mixture of both. Twilight just moved to take Harry Potter's spot. I think that maybe they did that so that Harry Potter couldn't move back even it they wanted to. Maybe as a statement saying that the Harry Potter generation is over and can't take over again. Stupid I think. I don't know why they can't both just share the spotlight...

Harry Potter was changed because more people go to the cinema during summer  hence more ticket sales hence more money in there already millionaires bank accounts

Well, Warner Bros (Harry Potter producer) wanted to make more money, and the Twilight movie got moved up because it was finished before schedule. Also, the Harry Potter movie moved down because it didn't want the same release period as Twilight, so it could make more money again!

Harry Potter wanted to be a summer blockbuster 'so it could make more money', and presumebly because of the gap in November after it moved, Twilight decided to move to a month early.

i totally think that Hp is afraid that TWILIGHT WILL BEAT IT so they moved it :)) (no offense to HP fans)
