Twilight books are they that good?

have you read the twilight books by Stephanie Meyer?

Well, if u have, i am sure u enjoyed them and are looking forward to reading the next installment coming out really soon.

Anyway, the question i wanted to ask was how good do u actually think they are? I mean i liked them, but i can think of loads of better books, that i liked more. My friends disagree and think they are AMAZING. They over analyse every part of the book, and act as if it is real. Two of them even started comparing boys they knew to edward and jacob....saying who there edward is etc.

One of my friends is so obsesed that she had a massive go at another m8 of mine who didnt want to read the second book, cause the first was 'boring'.

Is it just me or are they not worth all this fuss?

  1. I think they're really good! Definitely page-turners. But I CAN think of better books, yet the whole concept of Twilight is fascinating. I love it! On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it at 9. (:

  2. I read them before everyone knew they were "AMAZING" and they really ARE amazing.

The whole concept between Bella and Edward and all the Cullens is incredible. If you like action with an entwining love story than read it (:

  3. THEY ARE AMAZINGINLY AWESOME.the romance is overpowering after you read the books you should see the movie that is coming out or you can see the movie before to get a little sample of what your in for but in  the movie they changed a bit of the details

  4. well, i've never read the books but my friends are the SAME WAY. They obsess over EVERY SINGLE PART and act like the characters are real. I mean, I've found many people on yahoo answers that didn't like the book, thought it was illiterate, or just okay. So I agree with you, it's not worth the fuss. And the reason I didn't read it is because it's getting too many fangirls(if you will) and it's not funny or cute. It's annoying and kinda strange to be in love w/ a fictional character. So if you read the book and thought it was pretty good but didn't go overbored, THANKYOU!

  5. they are amazing, to me and many others

though their audience is restricted to those who love the genre-romance/fantasy/vampire

the first chapter could also be considered slow moving, as is the same of northern lights and philip pullmans dark materials, though please don't let this offput you! fight through it to discover le magique!

  6. No, you'tr right and I totally agree. They were ok, but there are at least 100 other books that are waaay better. it's just a craze like Harry Pooter and Pokemon. It'll blow over soon enough I hope. Meanwhile at least we are still sane :)
