That is because all the great movies come out during the summer, so to create more hype, they have moved the HP movie to summer.

Twilight movie is taking the place of Harry Potter.. HP will be released on July 17, 2009..and the Twilight will be released on November 21, 2008, the supposed-to-be release date of Harry Potter and the Half- Blood Prince.
