Twilight movie trivia?

Question

"The Cullen family had to learn how to bat left handed in the baseball scene."

This was found in the trivia section on www.imdb.com for the Twilight move. My question is:

Why did they have to bat LEFT handed?

They were left handed in the book.

It might have been the setup of the scene. Sometimes directors will purposely use mirror images instead of the "real"  image.  If they were using mirror images, they had to learn to bat left handed so it looked right handed, because if they looked like they were all batting left handed, the audience would be suspicious because right-handedness is more common.

Or maybe it said they played left-handed in the book.  I really don't know.  but those are some possibilities.
