Twilight question?????????

Question

in twilight when edward and bella were sitting next to each other during that movie thing, and they had a weird electrical current coming out of each other, why did edward have such a "pained and torned" expression when he dropped her off at her next class?

Edward is going through a lot of trauma with this battle that is going on in his head. Part of him wants to eat Bella so bad, but the other part is saying "no! don't hurt her! you can't do that!" He is going through so much pain that its clear how he's feeling.

The electrical current between Edward and Bella is the attraction and draw they have toward one another.  The pained and torn look he has is his constant need to want to kill her verses how much he loves her and wants to be with her and touch her and be normal with her.

i think that its cause he though that she was freaked out by him and he felt bad

he couldn't kill her but at the same time, he didn't want to leave her side either. pretty tragic.

he was probably distracted by her scent. remember, in the book, they say that her blood actually caused him pain. so he was probably dying through the entire movie. plus, they were watching a movie in science class; who wouldn't be tortured?

These books are like crack cocaine for women.  I lost my wife for two weeks while she read all the books nonstop.  At one point she forgot where she put the book down and she got this crazed look in her eyes as she proceeded to tear apart the house looking for it.

Now I hear there is going to be at least 3 movies.  Dear God, will it ever end? Don't worry I'm sure there are a bunch of crazed Twilight fans who will answer your question with minute details.
