This question is so over asked.

It's dry blood so it doesn't appeal to Edward as much.

Bella is too embarrassed to ask about it and Edward is too much of a gentleman to say anything.

haha, i was wondering that too.......but somewhere on yahoo! answers, i read that her period is dead blood and it doesn't affect edward....i really question that statement though.
