Twilight seems all the rage....can someone explain why??

What's so good about it? could I have a premis? maybe i'll want to read it but i have no idea what it's about

It's the best love story in the history of the world! I mean, Harry Potter is probably a better series to most people, but Twilight isn't at all like Harry Potter. It's about a human girl who falls inlove with a s**y vampire. You fall sooo inlove with Edward when you read it, I cried so many times in that series. It's a great book, READ IT!

the book is about a girl named bella who is a normal girl who falls in love with a awesomely hot vampire named edward. they love each other so much but he can kill her cuz he is so strong and her blood is like heroine. its addicting. i'm not telling you anymore just in case you want to read it but its a really good book very addicting. al four books are really good. just give it a try.

Hiba for Best Answer!!  That synopsis was spot on!  My 14 y/o daughter is a Twilight nut.  I wanted to be a good parent and keep an eye on what she's reading, but it was so "gooshie" I just couldn't stomach it.  That summary reassured me that there was nothing particularly worrisome there, and gave me lots of laughs to boot.  Now I just have to worry that my kid finds such empty headed blather so very enthralling...  Thanks for posting it!

It plays on teengage girls' emotions by having a very ordinary girl (so it's easy for the readers to imagine themselves as her) fall in love with a gorgeous gorgeous boy who turns out to be a vampire. So its romance and mystery. I know a lot of people will tell you not to read it because it's a waste of time, but do read it, you'll be in the loop finally, and even if you don't like it, you'll understand what everyone is talking about!!

I think it's because one person likes it and the other people read it and more and more and its got so big.

I did enjoy it but i don't know why it's so big but i think it just might be the romance of it and the fact it's being made into a film really.

It's excellent and I'm an adult by the way.  I'm not like all of those obsessed crazy people though.  It's about this girl who meets a vampire and doesn't know he's a vampire at first and they fall in love, but other vampires want to kill her.

Human falls in love with vampire.  Everything about the vampires in this book are original too. It's not your run of the mill vampire story at all.

Other people have already written this but yeah, it's about a girl who moves to live with her father who falls in love with a vampire. And it's about how Edward (vampire) and Bella learn to live with their differences. There are some vampires who want to kill her.

It also involves wolves (Jacob :D ), who don't like the vampires because they are supposed to be enemies. Plus they wait on the chance to start a war with the vampires, but they can only do that if the vampires bite a human.

It's not "omg, it's amazing!", but it's actually pretty good. Give it a try if you get a chance.

ok. its a series about a girl who falls in love with a perfect guy who turns out to be a vampire. that brings conflict because other vampires unlike him eat people and want her blood. also he thinks hes going to hurt her because he wants her blood so much. the rest of the series is about their love and all the conflicts it brings. now i will tell you my critique. twilight was amazing and i started to become a twilighter. new moon was pretty boring for most of the book and there was no real big finish in the end. the ending was somewhat happy. eclipse was once again amazing, a lot better than new moon. there was the romance, the conflict, and some pretty kickass action in the end. i got all excited about breaking dawn. breaking dawn was somewhat of a let down. the characters were out of character and well it was kind of stupid and a little um.. i dont know... well not good for a 12 year old ill say. everything was a little too happy and sweet no sacrifice nothing that made you get into the story like the ending of harry Potter! there was no real action or big finale in the end and it was all a little stupid. after that i was kind of dissapointed. so to sum it up it wasnt nearly as good as Harry Potter contrary to what some people think. my advice. read them. that way u will know what everyone is freaking talkin about. and if you like them stay away from the book sections of Yahoo answeres until you are finished with the series so you dont accidentally happen across some spoilers. (i learned that the hard way.) twilight was pretty good and i am looking forward to the movie and midnight sun. so if it satisfies you quit there. or you can keep going through new moon which was extremely boring be all happy about eclipse and then get dissapointed with breaking dawn. overall the series is a 6 or maybe a 7.

It's just the forbidden, seductive-to-read chemistry between two people, one being an ordinary, trouble-attracting human and this beautiful, powerful, 100 year old, teenage looking vampire.  The vampire, Edward Cullen, has always been alone for the last 100 years of his immortal life, so naturally, he closed his heart, feeling no one could love him.  Then enter the main character, Bella Swan, an ordinary girl who comes to live with her father; she's never had any experience whatsoever with boys.  She meets Edward, figures out that he is a vampire, and yet she is not scared of him, but that she is unconditionally in love with him.  They both want to be close to each other, yet they know the dangers; The vampire side of Edward thrists for Bella's blood because her "scent" is the most wonderful thing that Edward has ever smelled and the human side of him is being unlocked within his heart and he loves her and wants to be strong enough to protect her from himself.

It's just so romantic, especially with teenage hormones and the resurrecting humane feelings.
