1. Yes just go and read it. in my opinion the first 3 books are ok, well brilliant, its breaking dawn i find is the problem.

  2. What wrong things?Tell me..

  3. it's just a book, a really good book

and i'm christian and i read them

  4. ok i'm a Christian and i love the twilight series. it's fine to read twilight i did and i have no regrets

  5. Twilight is a book. That's like saying Harry Potter is evil because there are wizards and witchcraft in it. Anyone who says that is obviously missing the point of these books and should read MORE books in order to further develop their ignorant mind.

  6. nothing is wrong with twilight. the worst edward and bella do is kiss in that book and thats not even close to being bad

  7. It's okay if you read it, I just don't recommend it. The Twilight Saga is mediocre at best, there's much better stuff out there, trust me.

  8. No it isn't bad i understand where your coming from though because my parents would even let my brother and i mention the name Harry Potter let alone read the books when they first came out because they believed it would "corrupt" us. It won't. And we finally read them among other books they believed should never have even reached their house because they were unholy. It doesn't have any power of corruption and it will not hurt to read. They are really good and you'll enjoy them. Don't let anyone tell you any different religion is not a reason not to read and enjoy something that you want. Its just your beliefs.

  9. There is nothing wrong or bad at all in Twilight. What are you talking about?

And just because you're Christian doesn't mean you can or cannot read a certain book.

  10. i am a christian who believes in no s*x b4 marriage and twilight goes along with that twilight new moon eclipse and breaking dawn are all wonderful books that i even have my grandma, my mom and dad, and my pastors family intrested in if you dont like it then you dont have to read it but my little brother who is 15 say that twilight is my life..check out the movie 11-21-08 in theaters everywhere...HOPE THAT HELPS!!!

  11. I'm a christian and I am reading it and I love it. Just know that it isnt true but enjoy the story. I am absolutely fascinated with the story and I am already on the third book. I would definetly read it.

  12. Stephenie Meyer, the author of these books, is a devout Christian herself.

And to clarify the statement of the answerer above me who said that Stephenie Meyer implied that you only have to do good works to go to heaven: I have read the books multiple times and have NEVER gotten this implication. The only thing close to that that I can recall is Bella believing that Edward still has a soul-and believing that Edward is a good person-when Edward believes that, since he is a vampire, he is soulless. (don't worry--that really didn't give away plot points).

  13. I'm hardcore Christian and I saw nothing seriously wrong with the books. There was occasional mild swearing, and there is mention of s*x, but it isn't portrayed at all and is done within the context of marriage. The author of the Twilight saga, Stephenie Meyer, is a Mormon, and while I disagree with Mormon theology, they are usually very moral people. Although, in the books, she implies that she thinks all you have to do to go to Heaven is be a good person, which is incorrect--you need to have accepted Christ into your heart. That is the only way. However, it is not a big deal, and as long as you know the truth the books should be fine for you.

As for the person who who said this: "That's like saying Harry Potter is evil because there are wizards and witchcraft in it. Anyone who says that is obviously missing the point of these books and should read MORE books in order to further develop their ignorant mind."

That is extremely narrow-minded. I happen to believe the Harry Potter series are great books and have a lot of friends at church who enthusiastically agree, but I also know people at church who think the portrayal of magic is sinful, and I have great respect for their opinions as seasoned believers. It does not make them ignorant that they happen to disagree with me, or you, on a moral question.
