(Twilighters) Is Emmett a good name for my yorkie?

Question

So I'm adopting a yorkie and he's actually rather large. He exceeds normal weight for a yorkie. Instead of 7 he's 12 lbs!

But he's full yorkie and he's not fat. He's just tallER.

ut he still fits in a tote bag.

Anyways, his name is Benji but the name doesn't suit him. I wanted to call him Nick but my brother says it's g*y because he says I just do it for the Jonas Brothers. =P

So then I said Edward! And h said the same thing, except for the book Twilight. So well, he's never read the book so he doesn't know the other characters. To me, yorkies look like fluffy bears and Emmett reminds me of one so how is that?

My horse is named Jasper so that's taken (but that was before I read the book. 6 yrs ago lol)

What about Carlisle?

I plan on calling my husky that I wanna get when I'm older, Jacob.

If your yorkie is larger, then it is safe to assume it is more powerful than other dogs of its breed, so the name is very apt. Plus, I looove the character Emmett! Twilight all the way!!!

Emmett sounds good!! I agree, especially because it is a bigger than normal yorkie and emmett is very big and strong!!

I think it's contradictory. Yorkies are little, warm fluff balls.

To me, Emmett is a large, cold, stone. It just doesn't fit.

I would name your yorkie Seth. Because Seth is the (I THINK) youngest wolf. And the wolves are always warm and furry. And plus, the wolves are described as being bigger than others their age, as you said your yorkie is big for HIS age.

I would name him after one of the werewolves =)

I love Emmett!  I think that was the name of the Doc guy in Back to the Future, wasn't it?  !

We named one of our cats Oscar, and the other Gerald/both kind of old man names!  I think they are cute names, and I love Jasper for the horse!

why are you namine a DOG after a vampire.  why not name it after one of the wolves like seth or jacob.  I don't think emmet would like a dog named after him y'know
