Twin girl names.....?

Question

My friend Jenna was going to name her twins Leona and Selena. She has had her heart set on these names for years! Now she is finally pregnant with the twin girls she has always wanted!

I have to admit I wasn't fond of the names and I still don't really like them. But I wouldn't say anything because I know she really loves them.

But her husband doesn't like them either... So now she's all upset because she loves the names but she doesn't want Gerald (her husband) to hate them! She has decided she will name them something else. They are due on December 21st.

She wants to use Melody or Melanie Skye or Sky.

And Ariel Brooklyn. I'm pretty sure Ariel Brooklyn is a name they are using for sure.

How do you like Melody Skye?

How do you like Ariel Brooklyn?

How do you think she should spell Sky and Melody or Melanie?

Her original names aren't too bad. Leona and Selena are way better than Melody. To me, Melody Skye sounds like a cartoon character like Rainbow Bright.

Ariel Brooklyn is cute.

melody is not really good but i like skye as a middle name though

I think she should keep one of her favorite names from before and use one of the new names they picked out together. If she likes Leona the best she should use that with Melanie Skye. I don't like Melody and Ariel is like the little mermaid. I really think she should keep looking. Good luck! : )

Ariel Brooklyn isn't that bad. But maybe an alternative spelling could be Arielle, so it's not so Little Mermaid. I think I would use Melanie Skye. Not to fond of it, but it seems better than Melody.

Ariel Brooklyn is okay.  I would call her Arie, so thats cool.  I like Skylar as a first name for a girl.  Skylar Melanie.  I like it.

I love Brooklyn, but nor really Ariel, but if they've already agreed than whatever! =) Anywhoo, For the other, I like Melanie Skye.

btw, I love Leona and Selena, so what about,

Brooklyn Leona or Leona Brooklyn

Melania Selena or Selena Melanie

first of all, i love Leona and Selena. what beautiful names, and not too overused.

i like Melanie better than Melody. i would spell Skye Skye.

Ariel Brooklyn is pretty, but it does remind me of Little mermaid.

Leona and Selena are so much more current.

If I were your friend I would compromise. There are two babies, right? Why not keep one of the names she preferred? Leona or Selena. Then have daddy-to-be help pick out the others. If this just isn't an option I actually like Melanie Skye and Ariel Brooklyn a lot. My name is Melanie and I always got called Melody and it drove me nuts. Oh, and I think Skye with an 'e' is much prettier than just plain Sky.

I love those names! I like Melony better than Melody,tho. I would spell it Melony and Sky.

Melody and Ariel sound  nice for twins. I definitely prefer Melody to Melanie, especially with Ariel.

I'm sorry your friend isn't getting the names she loves, but Dad's got to have a vote, too.

I like Selena.  That seems ok.  Melanie & Melody need to be chosen by meanings.  Melanie means "of the sea" and Melody is a song.

Love both Melody and Melanie. Sky is trashy.

Ariel is gorgeous. Brooklyn is trashy.

First names are lovely, middles are horrible.

And please, don't let her change the spelling. Arielle will just be mispelled. Ariel is simple and easy to spell.

Melody Skye - It's okay. It sounds like a fiction character though.

Ariel Brooklyn - Very cute..but I'd prefer Arielle Brooklyn.

She should compromise on one name and keep one name that she had her heart set on - I'd say that's fair ;D
