Twins 1st Birthday?

My twins (boy & girl) are going to be one...how grand do parents usually do their first birthdays. I would need to rent a place...our home is not big enough. Should I get a clown to entertain the children? The twins love to be around other children. Any suggestions.

  1. well!

    for me the first birthday!

i had a mad hatter cake!

With a giant 1 coming out of the hat!

    it was really WOW!

we rented out a room from the hilton hotel for each of the guests!

and the invatation  was a chocolate picture frame with edible picture in it of the baby!and it came with this piece of paper dipped in gold paint with worlds that said what invatations usally say!

and their hotel rooms and descriptions and all!

And her mini cake was shaped like a mini purple guitar with hannah montanas signature on it!

or you can keep it simple and classic and invites family over to your house!

and get a card as an invite!

and get them a mini cake with balloons on it!

you can be classic or be original how bout just be creative!

but here are some suggestions you can make the theme pink and blue good luck!

if your having trouble hire a party planner!

no clowns though there freaky and tacky

  2. you need to not give them something close to the same thing.

no clowns and you can get baloons and a small cake.

invite others over for a play date and you can take them to a public park for cheeper than renting a place.

trust me i am a twin

  3. Clowns tend to terrify little kids, so I would not go that route.  Keep it simple or else they will become overwhelmed with the cake, presents and commotion.  They will not be able to actually open the presents, so don't make a big deal out of it.

  4. Well,

A nice theme is a prince/princess thats cute.As far as renting a place, unless you are rolling in it. I don't suggest you do that,I am having my daughters first birthday party at a park in the the late morning.By not spending money on a space to rent,I was able to  invite a few more people, and have more things to entertain the children. As well as better loot bags.Instead of the junk that people normally give.

Clowns might scare the kids why don't you have a person who makes balloon animals, and does face painting.

  5. Our daughters bday is July 19th...we are having a small get together at our house (it's pretty small too) with just the immediate family of both sides. We aren't gonna "go all out" because she won't remember it.  She'll see pictures but we are gonna do a cook out and have cake.

  6. The thing just about every parent forgets about a child's first birthday is that the child(ren) will never remember it and won't have any idea what's going on in the first place. It's more symbolic than anything else - I had three kids and none of them remember their first birthdays - they don't even remember their 2nd & 3rd. I'd skip the clown, it would probably scare the kids at that age. Keep it simple and take pictures.

  7. You can call your local parks and rec department and rent out a park or pavillion.  This works great for parents and children alike.

  8. I am going thru this issue too! O have twin boys an they will be 1 august 11th an I am starting to plan now. I have no clue what to do I know I will have a good bit about 50 ppl I'm hoping to have it at their grandmas ( on b/f side). So I don't have to rent any place I am honestly just wanting a nice fun happy day to kep my mind upbeat an happy so its not so emotional!!! But I am just gonna decorate big an have games for the kids even though my boys won't be able to do any of them lol it atleast others will an the presents an cakes ...I just want a fun day for my kids an to get lots of cool toys for them an lots of pics so I can remember it forever!! They won't remember if it wasn't extravagent.
