  1. Yes it is possible.  My youngest was a twin, but we lost the other one at 20 weeks 3 days in utero.   She was born full term (well a week early) and although she has had some health problems (food allergies etc) she is what I would consider normal.  She is small for her age, and they said she most likely always will be, but she is healthy.   They said it is rare to lose one twin so late in a pregnancy, but it turned out that my body was fighting him because of the RH factor.   We didn't know it until it was too late.

  2. yes it is possible

  3. Yes it is possible, a while back my mom was telling me that she had a twin that her mother had misscaried. When she went to the doctor the doctor told her she was only having one baby and she argued back that it was twins and she was still pregnant (mothers instincts), the doctors told her she was going to feel this way because of the depression of loosing the first one. Sure enough the doctors were wrong, out popped my mom lol.

  4. Yes.

We lost a twin at 9 weeks. It was presumed to be a singleton miscarriage, as we didn't know it was twins at the time. Then they did the ultrasound and there was another, safe and well. I had bed rest for a few weeks, and she was fine!

Ruthie is now 2 and as healthy as you like!

It is actually more common than people think. They have said as many as a third (!)  of pregnancies looses a twin, most not through miscarriage, but by the body absorbing the twin, so there was never any sign that they were there.

This discovery is due to the use of early ultrasounds. They have one scan - it's twins. On the second scan, there is unfortunately only one left.

  5. yes its possible in rare cases
