Question:

Twins going to different colleges?

My sister and I are going to different colleges this year. Although I'm living at home this year and her college isn't too far away(aka, one town away), I still want to respect this new independence and don't want to bother her when she's stressed out from too much college work.

What was your experience whether you went to the same college or ones far apart? How did you stay in touch?

  1. Just use instant messangers or phones, and ask when she's free (On the dates your free of course) then plan to get together. :) I'm not in college, 8th grade, but meh, it's one way. :)

  2. like you would do everyday, emails, and cellphones

  3. she probably needs space time to be on her own.  Just relax and eat some pie or something.

  4. You will find in the beginning that you do strive to stay in touch because you have always been around each other and you are worried how the other is "coping" with not only the newness of school but also how they are "coping" without you.

You will find as the weeks go by that the lines of communication are going to be narrower. BUT don't take it personally. This is a time where you two will be making new friends, separate friends for the first time and really discovering who you are an individuals. Not to mention the stress of college.

    GOOD LUCK!

  5. um im not even at the age of going to college...:p lol but i think u can keep in touch by phone call, emails, letters, or chatting on msn/yahoo/gmail. there are lots of ways to keep in touch.
