Twins names. boy and girl?

Question

i am having twins in 5 weeks. what do you think of these names?

Etta Sue for the girl and Aaron Michael for the boy?

I like Aaron Michael tons, but I am not fond of Etta Sue at all sorry. My husband's name is Aaron, and I am thinking of using the middle name "Eris" for a girl- maybe you like it?

i like the boy's name but Etta Sue sounds like an 80-year old titanic survivor! sorry.

Like Etta James?  Adorable!  Ignore the negative comments, it's cute.  If the other commenters have you convinced that she'll hate the name, you could always give her a name from which Etta could be a derivative, like Marietta, Julietta, Greta, Henrietta, etc., and just call her Etta from the first... then her name will effectively be Etta, but if she wants to go with something else when she gets older, the option will be there.

Personally, I think that "Sue" as a middle name does actually tend to sound a bit stereotypically "Southern," but if that's what you're going for, then it works.  Alternately, you could do Susan or Susanne/Suzanne.  There are a ton of possibilities here for what to put "on paper"-- Susan Marietta, Greta Suzanne, etc. etc.  And her name around the house could still be Etta or Etta Sue.

Aaron Michael is a nice traditional name. I don't like  Etta Sue. Blech. It's very old sounding and plain.  If it's a family name and you are trying to honor someone use it for a middle name only.

No offense but Etta Sue is completely ugly, don't give your daughter a name she will regret! Aaron Michael is somewhat cute but I like Aaron Myles or Aaron Miles a lot better. Maybe for your daughter you could name her Ashley Marie/ Ashleigh Marie or Miley Erin. Good luck and hopefully I helped!

I'm not a fan of Etta...but I think if you are willing to make it a middle name, it would work beautifully. I'd suggest Susanne Etta or Susanna Etta.

I think that twins names should at least go together, no need to be Andy and Ashley, but at least a similar theme.  You don't want a super traditional name with a preppy name.  Although Aaron is an old Hebrew name, it hasn't been used very much, so it is more of a preppy name.  I would go for something less... unique, than Etta.  I like

Aaron and Alicia Gracelyn

Aaron and Addy Rose (Adeline)

I love Aaron Michael, my son's name is Aaron. Etta Sue sounds a bit..old ladyish. Sorry, that's the nicest way I could put it. Maybe something like Ella Sue or Ava Sue would sound better.

Etta is a very old name. I would update it to something nicer, such as Ellen, Ellie, or Emily.

Both are cute but for twins they dont really go well together in my mind. I see Etta Sue as very southern bell or old fashioned and Aaron Michael is very traditional and common. I think you should choose one way to go and if you like the style of Etta Sue maybe consider other names like Henry, Luke, Wyatt and if you like Aaron's style better maybe Alexa, Haley, even Ella is a little more modern than Etta...

first of all how did you come up with theses names ,,, second if its your family wanting you to change them dont i made that misstake with my daughter whos name was supose to be Angele~ Franchescia but her name is angel marie and she has a son who every one wanted him to be alled aj but she keept the name Imeranth Jude SOOOOOOO keep the name etta sue its differant just like my grand sons name is different its in the bible........and i like the names of both childeren
