  1. "Twisted quotes".  You mean like "an ornithoid resting on your palm is the equivalent of a pair hiding in the brush" instead of "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush"?

  2. I think what she's trying to do is to have you take common quotations and be creative and humorous.  The original version of what she gave you is, "The shortest path between two points is a straight line."  She is being funny because every time someone takes a short cut, it ends up being longer.    Try to think of some common quotes.  Let's see...  Ben Franklin said, "Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise."    You're a teenager, what would YOU have said after, "Early to bed, early to rise..."   (Gives me tired, red, and achy eyes?)    Good luck!

  3. i dont know if this would qualify, but one of my favorites is by the baseball player Yogi Berra: "When you come to a fork in the road, take it!" I guess in my mind that's "twisted" because a fork is two ways and how can you take both ways?? ya feel me??
