i had an x ray of my intestine a whle ago and the doc said we must watch it because i have a loop or a twist. how bad can it get? he said he wanted to take it out if it made me uncomfortable again. i've always had stomach problems. and i'm havin them quite badly, i thought it was normal to have a bloated gut at times. i just put up with it. what would happen if i had this piece taken out?? do you think it's worth it?

  1. I am not a health expert, but you need to get that looked at. I have seen on Animal Planet a dog that flipped his stomach. They had to operate or else it would die. I feel that it is serious enough to go back to the doctor or get a second opinion. It's your life and it is worth looking into. It's not normal to have a bloated gut all of the time. If you got it taken out, it would take a few months to heal.

  2. A twisted gut is a medical emergency! The patients feel very uncomfortable, there is terrible pain, food cannot be eaten, the patient has vomits, sometimes fever and if the blood flood stops ( because everything that goes with the intestines gets twisted too) it is posible the death of tissues. In that case a surgery must be performed. In the first stages of the condition it is possible an spontaneous return to the right position but if not, there must be a surgery.

  3. My grandmother had a twisted intestine, and was very sick in the hospital. Nothing could be passed through her intestines, so everything backed up and she thew up awful green bile. They were going to have to preform surgery, but the night before somehow it twisted it's self back into the correct position.
