  1. The Dark Knight didn't have it the closest.  Like the person who answered first during a trial involving Maroni someone produces a vial of acid and throws it on Dent disfiguring his face and one hand.

  2. Not quite.

Harvey Dent was district attorney to Gotham City and worked closely with Batman and Commissioner Gordon (read Frank Miller's Batman: Year One).

Salvatore "The Boss" Maroni, a mafia crime-lord who Dent was prosecuting, disfigured Dent's face by throwing acid on it (read Jeph Loeb's The Long Halloween).

  3. There are many ways its been told throughout the comics and movies. As far as original, what Batman: The Animated Series and you will get a good idea of the original. But the Dark Knight has it closest.

  4. Hmmm...I can't remember the origin of Two-Face in Batman Forever.  But if I remember the comic correctly, Harvey Dent was a district attorney who had a mob boss on trial.  The mob boss threw a jar of acid into Harvey's face.  I think Batman showed up to stop the mob boss, but was too late.  Harvey blamed Batman and his mind snapped creating a dual nature, good and bad.

  5. The "Real" way cannot be found in either film.  It can only be found in the original comic that innitially featured Two-Face.  However, the origin from The Dark Knight is closest in comparison.
