Ferrets bond very strongly with their cage mates.  You will have to give her plenty of attention.  Please make sure she is eating and drinking enough.  Some ferrets will go into a depression, will stop eating.  Ferrets can die fairly fast if they don't eat or drink - like in a matter of days.

My second ferret had no indication of any illness or disease and I found him passed away in his sleep 4 days before his fourth birthday. His cage mate Abby (she's now 9 years old) had always mothered him, and I felt so sad and cried just seeing her try to find him.  My boyfriend went and bought me another ferret a day after, and she took to him right away.
