Hey, i've finally dual booted XP and Vista, installed all the drivers and its runner perfectly, 99% anyway. The 1% problem i have is that when i power up the laptop, i have the usual boot manager choice of XP and Vista, and the problem is this, when i choose XP, i get a choice of 2 Versions of XP Pro, i only want the 1st one becuase it has all the right drivers like sound and wireless etc... the other one is from a previous installation that i dont want, but it doesnt exist, please help.

P.S, i used VistabootPRO to dual boot and i right clicked on My Computer and then properties, startup and recovery, advanced tab and in the drop down box, it doesn't show vista but the 2 XP's, i only want the 1st one. i would take away the chocie option, but im scared that it will only boot up in Xp and leave vista in the bakground,

Thanks,

i know its alot of text but...

James.

  1. That's the problem running two OSs on one computer. I can never see the point or the advantage of running two OSs and taking up extra unnecessary disc space!
