Two Phelps - One great, the other terrible. Strange isn't it?

Michael Phelps - The greatest Olympic athlete ever. Possibly the greatest athlete ever. And supposedly he's also a nice guy.

Fred Phelps - the leader of one of the most hate full, spiteful despicable organizations, the Westboro Baptist Church. A group bent on spreading extreme hate and anger, probably for financial gain. And they escape prosecution, time and time again.

Hopefully the two Phelps aren't related.

Strange but true - Michael's father is actually called Fred Phelps (but he's not THE Fred Phelps). And Michael's middle name is Fred.

I wouldn't care if Micheal's bio father was Jeffrey Dahlmer. For whatever reason, he has no place in his life. Too bad for pops.
