Two Questions on The works of an MP3 player...?

OK! I have two questions regarding my RCA H100A MP3 Player...

1. When I connect it to my computer, it shows an area called "Playlists" . There currently isn't anything in my MP3 player under a playlist, because I don't know how to put it there. How do I make a playlist on my MP3 player?

2. I would like to edit the information of what is already on my MP3 player. When I right click on the song I want to change, The "EDIT" button is blanked out so that I can't change anything. I use Windows Media Player for my downloads, by the way. So also, how can I change this so that I can edit what's already on my MP3?

Thanks a lot!

  1. You said you use Windows Media Player, so with that program you should be able to both create playlists and edit the information for your mp3s.  I'm assuming that you use WMP to put the content on your player as well, that is the simplest way to add playlists to your player.  So, to create and add playlists, go into the Library tab of WMP.  You library appears in the center column of the player, and the far right-hand pane, unless you are already displaying a playlist, should be empty and say Untitled Playlist at the top.  To make a playlist, simply drag the songs in your library over to the right-hand column, and when you are done, save and name you playlist.  To add it to your player, add the playlist to the list of what syncs to your player, or manually add it to the sync list in the Sync tab of WMP.  To edit the information for your songs, in WMP, right click on the track you want and select Advanced Tag Editor from the menu.  A screen will open that will allow you to change all kinds track information.  Then, apply the changes, and when you sync your player next, you should see you corrected information.  I hope that makes sense.
