Two Questions(One about fleas and another about a permit)?

There is a horse I looked at today for a lease and he has fleas is their a treatment that works good for it and isn't expensive??

Would I need a permit to ride a horse(s) in to a town(In Wisconsin)?

  1. Horses aren't a natural host for fleas so either it is in an area that the fleas are so bad they are desparate or they are lice or another parasite.  Any pyrethrin spray (most fly treatments should work)


  2. Horses don't get fleas.  It must be something else you are seeing.

    You don't need a permit to ride a horse, but there may be restrictions as to where you are allowed to ride.

  3. No you wont need a permit, a horse is not a car it is a horse make sure you can own one were you live and there is not a restriction to horses in your area is all. I would think there is a shampoo for fleas for a horse just like a dog. talk to your vet or find a vet to ask. I have never delt with a horse that has had fleas before so sorry I dont have a shampoo name.
