I live in a suburban area, with a large woods, and lately, my neighbors and I have been seeing 2 small deer running around our neighborhood. They still have all their spots too! The 2 fawns approach other people, and run around crying, like their lost. My mom called the DNR, but they wouldn't do anything. Im thinking that their mother got hit by a car or something, but im not sure... what should I do???

  1. Nothing, leave them alone.  There is doe around there someplace that is their mother.

Leave the wild to the wild.

  2. I agree with you that it's likely their mother has been hit by a car, since you regularly see them alone, and are in a suburban area. The mother may also have been killed by dogs or something like that.

I don't know what the usual course of action is for deer, as I'm in Australia, but if they are too small to be taking care of themselves, I'd suggest contacting a wildlife rehabilitator. They will know what to do, or be able to put you in contact with someone who does. If you can't find a wildlife rehabilitator, you could contact a vet and ask them to put you in contact with one.

    Good luck.

  3. let them be

    but if it continues

    call your local ASPCA

they WILL know what to do.

    phonebook time!

  4. EAT THEM!!!

  5. let them be if you realy care for them
