1. I'm watching my neighbors' puppy because they are going some where for a day or two. I already made treats for her and stuff...what else can i do with her?

2. Im going to take babysitting courses soon so i can babysit my neighbors down the street. But they have a dog that doesn't like people. i was thinking about giving the dog treats when i walk in the door so he wont think strange people are bad and he will be nicer. but other than that, what else can i do to make him like people??

  1. aw, you are so sweet!

I think your idea of giving the neighbor's dog treats to trust you is a great idea! Bring some new toys for him/her as well and talk in a pleasant, happy voice. Show the dog that you are a friend to be trusted and you will have no problem.

    Have fun!

  2. Give him/her the treats

    Take him/her on a walk

    Give him/her a tennis ball

    Give him/her some rope

    Play with him

Are you even getting payed for this?

    EDIT- Rub his/her stomach

  3. Don't just give treats or you will spoil the dog and then he will be worse. You can train him to sit, down, and stay. Shake and Roll Over are good too. You can go for walks and take him to the park too.

  4. 1) for the puppy, just play with her and give her lots of attention. when you go over be ready to stay for a little while, some puppies won't eat if they are alone.

    2) try talking to him in a soothing tone, but give him his space and don't push him to be friendly if he isn't actually bothering you.

  5. 1. Enjoy playing with the puppy! take her out for a walk or play outdoors. make sure she gets exercise so she isn't bored.

    2. Ignore the dog completely. If he isn't being aggressive and isn't threatening you then ignoring him will draw his interest. If the do is aggressive suggest the neighbors put him away while you are there. There is no way you can make a dog like you if he is mean.

  6. you should take her to obedience school!
