I am usually a very top student at maths. I always listen in class when my teacher explains concepts, i always finish my work, i understand everything well. But I do have a tendency to talk to my friend when we are suppose to be working, but nevertheless i finish all my work.

Recently I had two maths tests which I did pretty bad in.

In the first one i was ranked 56/150

In the second i was ranked 84/150

The mistakes I made on my tests were all stupid silly mistakes.

When I prepared for the tests I did an unbelievable amount of work, more than I usually do. I normally rank in the top 5 in my grade.

How do I stop making silly mistakes even though I do every single question in the textbook adn get it right?

and

How do I explaiin to my parents why I have done so poorly?

  1. i'm a chinese. i think the question is not too difficult.you should calm down before the exams.and while you are writing the exam ,don't think about other things.many chinese won't tell their parents if they get bad marks.but i think it's not good.in fact, if i get bad marks,my parents don't blame me.they just tell me to do better in the next exam.
