  1. It's really simple, I wonder why you couldn't figure that one out. That would be 4 and 5. 4 + 5 = 9!

  2. Um 4 and 5. That wasn't hard at all. I hope this question was a joke.

  3. Don't get confused. Consecutive means things that come after each other. So since the nuumbers have to be less than 9 and has to add up to 9, the obvious answer is 4 and 5.  Thus, 4+5=9, the only TWO consecutive numbers that add up to 9.

  4. 4+5=9...

    please tell me you're joking

  5. you are joking, right??? I'm in college and failing my algebra class, but you gotta be kidding

  6. 4 + 5 = 9.  It wasn't that hard.  If you want to be more technical, here is the formula, by my boyfriend...

    x + (x + 1) = 9, where x is a real integer.

    Solution:

    2x + 1 = 9 (combine x's and take the one to the other side)

    2x = 8 (divide by 2)

    x = 4, that's one of your answers, then

    x + 1 = ?

    4 + 1 = 5,

    and there you have it, 4 and 5 are the two consecutive positive integers that give you 9.
