Two different walkie talkies not working? IMPORTANT QUESTION!? NEED ANSWER BY TONIGHT!?

I have one that's 3km radius from BellSouth other one Oregon Scientific 5km radius, i set them on same channel but they don't talk to each other, HELP please I NEED THESE TWO THINGS BY TOMORROW MORNING!

  1. The frequencies are not the same, which is why they aren't working. Also,  be very weary about the 3km and 5km distance claim. If there is anything in your way (trees, buildings, etc.) the distance will be affected greatly.

    Most professional radios, whose power is ten times stronger, will only transmit at a single location.


  2. You didn't say how far apart you are trying to talk.  Disregard the range claims.... best you will do 1.5km or less.  Marketing Hype.

    Read the manuals... that is what they are there for.  Make sure the frequencies coorespond to the channels.
