Did/do you have a mental list of things your going to differently as a parent?

Do you think your parents trust you? (Like when you were a teen)

Yes.

And yes, but only because their control was so absolute (and their punishments so excessively vindictive) that I didn't dare cross them. It wasn't so much trust in me as trust in their own absolute power and caprice to use it.

Differently than my parents? No, not really. I think I'm really lucky. I've never been grounded before, because I was and still am afraid to do anything to get in trouble. I mean, I lie and everything like everyone else does, but I'm scared of getting in trouble, even though they never do anything. Idk how they do it, but I want to be able to do that to my future kids, haha. And yes, my parents trust me a lot.

- I believe my parent's way of "parenting" is very effective in that they let me live my life & experience things that I need to experience. They give me advice when I need it and are truly two of my best friends

- I do believe my parents trust me, when I was 11-15 they did not trust me one bit but that was because I was going through my rebellion stage and as a result, they sent me away to boarding school where I learned things I would have never thought possible!

Nope, but I think some of my parent's ways aren't right. But then again, I'm just a teen, so how would i know yet?

Pretty much. This school year was pretty bad, and I lost some of their trust. But in the summer, I'm starting to gain back that trust (i hope). They just don't trust me around boys (since i'm kinda "one of the guys" but yet too girly)
