Two game and four game series in baseball stupid?

I think its stupid that in a four game series one team outplays the other and it almost always ends up tied. Its also stupid that in two game series nobody really benefits because its only two games. Mathametically to play 162 games you only need one 4 game series a year and every other series can be a 3 game series. Do you think they should have less four and two game serieses?

the 4 game series are there for both the players and the fans.  Now, a team can have a 10+ game homestead with 2-3 teams coming into town.  If there were more 3 games series, it would make the players have to travel more.  Also, no matter how long a series is, the better team should be able to prove themselves whether its 3 or 4 games

I learned this trick in like 3rd grade.  If you can add the digits in a number up, and they are divisible by 3, the original number is divisible by 3.  1+6+2= 9.  All 162 games could be played in 3 game series.  However, there is no real problem with 2 and 4 game series.  They usually help to accommodate schedules though.  Terrible question, really.

you know i never thought if that way. i really just like watching the sport, never really cared how many games they played against a team, just as long as my team takes the series im happy. i would like to see more 4 game series to be honest, gives the fans a chance to see good pitching. in two gamer you maybe get to see their marquee player but in a four gamer you are d**n near graunteed.

Most modern four or five game game series are a weather generated phenoma and are completely unpredictable when the major league schedules are adopted for any given year.
