Is this two-line difference still considered amblyopia? BCVA: OD: 20/15 (-4.00) & OS: 20/25-2 (slow reading the line) (-3.50 -1.75 x 10). I had previous hx of patching OS as a young child and do not have any ocular diseases.

  1. If no other cause for the lower VA in the left eye is apparent, a mild/moderate degree of amblyopia would be the likely diagnosis.

It would be interesting to see if your vision in that eye was better for well-isolated single letters than when reading a whole line.

The "crowding phenomenon", though not always present, is very indicative of amblyopia.
