Indian mobile company, Maxx mobile, has put up two mobile phones, autographed by Indian skipper MS Dhoni, for auction, the proceeds of which will go to Madendra Singh Dhoni Charitable Foundation.
Dhoni, who is also the brand ambassador for the Maxx mobile, has autographed two Maxx mobile sets to be auctioned through eBay.
The two autographed handsets are MSD7 and M2020, which are available in black, orange and golden colours.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is also world’s richest cricketer, has been taking active part in the charity work. Besides being the promoter of ‘Save Tiger’ movement in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, Dhoni has also been working to promote Indian cricket at the grass root level.
For this reason, he had founded ‘Mahendra Singh Dhoni Charitable Foundation’ which aims at reaching out to every individual, and providing them with means to polish their cricketing skills.
This charitable foundation has been holding cricket tournaments for the betterment of underprivileged cricketing talent across the country. Dhoni also held a charity dinner in May, 2011, to launch his foundation in UK and raise funds.
In the same context, Maxx mobiles have taken this initiative of raising funds for Dhoni’s foundation. They are giving out autographed Maxx handsets to be auctioned on eBay, from July 5 to July 15. The proceeds from this 10 day auction will be donated to

Dhoni is hopeful that his fans would make this auction successful, and also praised Maxx mobiles for their support. He said,

its consumers by developing and auctioning my autographed phones as the passion of cricket resides in all Indians today. I, therefore persuade all the fans to log on and bid generously”.
Maxx mobiles had signed the Indian superstar in December 2010 for endorsing their brand. It was a record deal, as Dhoni was given Rs.29 crore for this contract of 7 years.
