We want to stay in Dublin two days after our walk..can you recommend a reasonable place, please? We're not ancient...but not young! We are anxious to experience local culture...not tourists traps! Thank you.

  1. You should try one of the bed & breakfasts there.  When I was in Ireland and Scotland - I spent one night in a hotel, and all the others in bed & breakfast.  There were other guests of all ages there, and the owners family are more than happy to tell you about not-so-touristy spots.  Here is one I recommend:  http://www.bedandbreakfastireland.net/Du...

Make sure you know if you prefer en suite or not.  Meaning the bathroom is in your room, or if it is down the hall where you would share it with other guests.  I believe this one has all en suite rooms.  Have a lovely trip.

  2. Presumably you want to stay somewhere cozy, reasonably priced, aesthetically pleasing and within walking distance of all public amenities and attractions?

You will be well looked after in a city centre guesthouse and can choose from any number here: http://www.discoverireland.com/us/accomm...

I hope you find this useful.
