Aight what are pentatonics? And when u do harmonics whats the deal are you just supposed to hit the string a lil bit wit ur finger while ur pickin it?

  1. well pentatonic scales are scales with the roost not, the 2rd note flat, the 4th note flat, the 5th note, and the 7th note sharp.

    im not sure how to explain a harmonic, but a good place on the guitar to hear them is on the metal of the 12th fret. to strike one, just put your finger lightly above the string, touching it, but without pressure whatsoever. then just pick the string.


  2. harmonic- lightly put finger on fret u want the pluck string.... adding vibrato to it makes it awesome!

  3. Pentatonic scales are scales that only have 5 notes (hence pent) To play these scales you merely skip the 4th and 7th step in the scale. For example: C Pentatonic would be C D E G A C. These scales tend to sound a little asian.

    Harmonics are played easily if you basically tap the string with your finger while you're plucking and lift it off right away. You basically just graze it a bit. It always helps me if I slide it along the string a tiny bit as I'm lifting it up.
