Yes, he is related to Tim Witherspoon- he is his second cousin.

I honestly don't think that he will ever be ready for a title shot; I've seen him fight a few times, and I don't see anything in him that would make me think that he could become a titleholder.  He does not have enough power to make up for his mediocre boxing ability and he has not faced anyone of real note yet in his career.  I honestly don't see him making it that far because I think that once he faces someone in the top 10, he will lose, but I could be wrong.
