Two part question: What was your first car? How did you get it?

Mine: 1969 Chevelle. I bought it for $300 with money I won betting on horses while on vacation in Canada. It wouldn't go in reverse, so it cost $200 more to fix the transmission.

1974 Old's Delta. I started busing tables when I was 16. Nice car, got it for $800. Two months later my brother "borrowed" it and ran it into a phone pole. Got up the next morning to go to school and it was sitting on the driveway totaled. I don't know how he got it home. As he did not have a job he never paid me back for it. ( It has been 12 years and it still rankles.) After that I never left keys to any car on the kitchen table. That seems to be an invitation to idiots to take it after you have gone to bed.

1966 Dodge Dart. I bought it for $4.50 from my uncle. That was the impound cost when he got arrested for DUI in1980.

1974 Olds Omega. A buddy had it first then I gave him $150 for it. I was underage at the time and it sat and I sold my then brother-in-law the engine which he overrevved and blew up. HA!

1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera Brought for 100 dollars and  working as a dishwasher . About a month later some of every thing when wrong although I was put 500 dollars back into and still didn't last long.
