Two parts? Many do not get my invitation to join? In Groups search, the name is not seen by people?

I have made a yahoo group. But the name does not pop up when I do a seach on my own group?

Many friends who want to join the group. I send them invites but they do not receive the ivite even though they have account on yahoo.

The reason that the group name is not showing up in the search listings is because it could be that the option to list it in the group director was not chosen.  To find out go to: "Management" of your group's homepage and click on "Description and Appearance".  At the bottom of the page is a section for category listing and listing in the directory.  Look for the "Edit" button next to that and click on it if it turns out that the group is not listed in the directory.

If it is listed in the Directory already it can take a day or two for the listing to appear.

As for your friends that want to join and aren't getting the invites it could be how they have it set up when it comes to other group owners sending invites out.  Some people set up their Yahoo Groups account so that they don't get invitations to other groups to keep possible issues with spam under control (just using this as an example of why someone may not allow invites).  Another way they can join the group is to go to the group homepage and click on "Join this Group" in the upper right hand corner of the group homepage screen.
