Two questions about ferrets

Question

1) my friend told me that the more you wash a ferret, the worse they smell. is that true?? cuz he says that they'll produce more oils that make them smell...

2) febreeze says that it's safe to use around cats and dogs, but what about ferrets? because i have deodorizing spray for them but i'm running out and i order them online so before i do that i wanted to know if i could just use febreeze...

I never bathe my ferrets, you do not have to. Bathing dries their skin out, makes them itch and produce more oil, and they will have more of an odor
