Any remember it when it was below thousand?

Might anyone know of anyone with hobby of figuring out what average would be if stocks replaced in last twenty years were still listed, and not talking insolvent bankrupts?

It's impossible to determine what the ultimate outcome would have been for those companies who were merged or sold over the last twenty years.
