Two questions. (one cue related, one table related)?

Should a small scratch on the shaft of a fiberlight cue be any reason to be concerned?

What are some names of good pool tables for the money?

In other words, I'm looking for a good table, but doesn't cost 2 grand.

  1. If your shaft is made of anything but wood it is pretty crappy anyway, so I don't know why you'd freak out over a little scratch.

As far as tables go, you get what you pay for in any price range. If you go cheap, you get cheap.

I suggest you look into Brunswick's Contender line. I've never played on one, but if Brunswick puts their name on them, they must be decent. I just ran through pricing, and if you get the cheapest model and downgrade to 3/4" slate (which is fine), it came out to $1,649 shipped and setup. This is a pretty darn good deal, if you ask me.

If that's still too much, look for real slate and solid wood construction. I can't tell you brands because most are pretty poorly build Chinese tables. Just don't but a table from Sears or Walmart of where ever, and don't get fake slate, unless you're buying a toy for your kids to break.

  2. What is a fiberlight cue?

Also, what size table are you looking at buying?

Hate to tell you this guy, but its c**p.  Earl shoots with 1 made to his specs that he is paid to shoot with.

  3. well yes its to b concerned coz  by scratch cue loses the action on cue ball....as the cue bends .try to roll the cue on a flat surface if it rolls clearly than its allright else change the cue dear

2nd ques)))) you can find table in every budget here http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll...

  4. Well it depends on the cue on whether you should be worried. If it's an expensive brand name cue I would freak over it. If the shaft is thin enough and the scratch deep enough if can turn into a crack . My friend got a great deal on a brunswick table for like $1200 awhile back.
