with each other and are connected to a battery that produces a potential difference of 8 V. If the current is 0.2 A what is the value of each resistance?

Thanx much!!

  1. V=IR so 8=.2 R and so R(total) = 40 ohms and EACH resister is thus 20 ohms.

  2. Ohm's Law

    Total resistance:

    R = V/I

    R = 8/0.2

    R = 40

    R/2 = 20

  3. you have to measure each one separately because  the combo of any two of different values result in the same resistance

  4. V=IR

    V= potential difference= 8 V

    I = current =0.2 A

    two equal resistors in series =2R

    V = I(2R)

    R= 20 ohms
