Question:

Two keepers.....................

I've narrowed it down to these:

Larry Johnson

Ryan Grant

Ronnie Brown

Reggie Wayne

Kellen Winslow.

Mainly standard points, but RBs get a ten point bonus for 100 yard games, and so do WR.

TE gets 10 point bonus for 80 yard games.

SO, I have my own ideas, but I'd like to hear some other INTELLIGENT arguments for who I should keep. If you suck at FF, don't bother responding.

  1. The golden rule of keepers is to get the most value from your selections. If you don't lose anything for keeping your players then it's pretty much a simple matter of keeping the guys that would go first in an ordinary draft. Under those circumstances your list becomes narrowed down to Larry Johnson, Ryan Grant, and Reggie Wayne. These three will be the first drafted out of the 5 players you named. Larry Johnson will be drafted first out of our revised list. Most likely first round in a 10-14 team draft and at worst in the early second. Reggie Wayne in all likelyhood will be considered a top 5 WR and a 2nd or 3rd round pick (although 2nd is good chance if other WRs are kept). Ryan Grant will also be a 2nd or 3rd round pick though valued as more of a RB2. Therefore, IMO, you take the RB1 and WR1 then draft another RB1 and WR1 in the first two rounds. This leaves you with a star-packed core for a team and hope to get a good QB in the 3rd. That's what I'd do. You may want to get one of the 4 top QBs or whatever but that doesn't change my advice of Larry Johnson and Reggie Wayne for keepers. Good luck.

  2. I would go with Reggie Wayne and Ryan Grant..

Wayne is number 3-4 available and will probably cost you a one or two.

Grant is a educatee risk/reword, but young and would cost you a two-three.

Larry Johnson could be overrated right now, so I would pass on him.

  3. Ryan Grant and Reggie Wayne.
