  1. Volumn.According to Archemides the denser one which has

    more special density will sink.D=Mass/Vol,density of water is one.


  2. Floating object has greater diameter.  Density is mass/volume.  You know mass is equal.  If one floats and one sinks, you know the density of the floating one is less.  Thus, the volume must be more.  Volume for a spherical object is related directly to the diameter.
