Two stroke, six stroke condition at The Barclays Singapore Open
The Barclays Singapore Open held its second round of golf on Friday and will continue till the 14th of November 2010. The Sentosa Golf Club is a 204 player field currently led by the Australian golfer Adam Scott with a consecutive
score of two 65s while the runner up position is held by Rikard Karlberg, Greame McDowell, Joost Luiten and Ian Poulter.
Adam Scott has won the 2005 as well as the 2006 events held in Singapore and attained the third position in the year 2009. The thirty year old led the leader board at the second round of the event after carding consecutive 65s
with an under 6. The golfer played a blistering front nine which was marked as a 29 from the front nine. The R2 of the Barclays Singapore Open witnessed Scott hold the lead after he collected a total score of 130 with a 12 under.
The golfer from Queensland finds Singapore as one of his favourite places to play golf and preferred playing at the Serapong golf course rather than his homeland event, the JBWere Masters in Australia.
More from the leader board conditions, the events defending champion Ian Poulter is also playing the Open who has carded a 29 at the back nine of the GC. The thirty four year old played brilliantly striving for the cup and thus
ended the second round of the event with a 63. Poulter thus finished two shots behind Scott.
Other than Poulter, Phil Mickelson finished his second round standing six shots behind the leader. The lefty repeated his standard run through carried out three times before in the tournament. Mickelson is currently standing at
the number four position in the world ranking and has drawn massive colonnades for his flight. He is partnered with Thongchai Jaidee from Thailand and Matteo Manassero, who is known as the teen-stir in Italy.
The forty year old golfer has been playing an off and on game and collected a total of 4 birdies whose effect was soon subdued after the lefty carded 2 bogeys. The golfer from America thus scored a 69 with a two under par.
Today the Barclays Singapore Open 2010 is going through its third and second last round where Mickelson enters with a 6 stroke deficit from the win, the golfer would need a lot of work to get a greater hold of his game if he wants
to rule the top places on the boards.
